Juan Gil Petit Verdot, Jumilla DO
Dense, vibrant and youthful in appearance, with thoroughly integrated
characters. The wine is beautifully perfumed, with violets, cherries,
red berries and gentle vanilla oak notes. The palate has a fresh burst
of blackcurrant followed by a delicious ripe blueberry character.
Tannins are poised, building to the finish, where there are hints of
liquorice. A bright and intense wine - an excellent example of the
potential quality of petit verdot when managed correctly.
