Ramos Pinto 'Duas Quintas Tinto', Douro DOC
Dense, dark red colour with vivid ruby reflections. Aromas of damp earth, spices and a hint of tangerine. The palate is fresh and expressive with soft tannins and a balanced structure. Long and persistent on the finish. An excellent choice to serve with Mediterranean dishes such as roasted vegetables, etc. or poultry recipes as well as grilled red meat. Especially recommended wine with ripened sheep cheese.
Founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto, this Port House has always had a pioneering spirit – from the distinctive and stylish ‘art nouveau’ advertising from the 1900s to the continuing wide ranging vineyard research with results that have benefited the whole port trade. Champagne Louis Roederer, now the majority shareholder, perpetuates this philosophy and ensures continuity in a company renowned for wine-making excellence.
