Mount Langi Ghiran 'Cliff Edge' Shiraz, Grampians
From the winery producing some of Australia's finest Shiraz, the Cliff Edge is dark garnet with a purple rim and on the nose shows black cherry, blueberry and mixed spice with violet florals in the background. The hints of pepper and soft oak spice are well integrated with the dark lush fruits. The palate shows blueberry, cherry and blackberry fruits with beautifully interwoven spice and pepper. Medium bodied silky tannins balance will with the fruits and fine oak. Good length with and spicy savoury finish.
Originally established in the 1870s, Mount Langi is nestled in the Grampians at the southern end of the Great Dividing Range in Victoria and is one of Australia's most distinguished wine producers. Rated 5 stars by James Halliday, he describes them as ďA maker of outstanding cool climate peppery Shiraz, crammed with flavour and vinosity.Ē
